2017

The beginning of Contentoo

As a former journalist for Quote Magazine and Dagblad, Jeroen Gunter knows a thing or two about brilliant content. In 2017, he brought together the best in tech and talent to form Contentoo. We connect some of Europe’s fastest growing companies to some of the world’s best freelance content talent.

2018

€100K investment

In 2018, we received a €100K investment from angel investors. We turned this money into our next platform. We also welcomed freelance content marketing consultants to the platform.

2019

Our new CEO

In 2019, Onno Halsema, former director of T-Mobile Thuis, and Ben, joined Contentoo as CEO and shareholder.

2021

156% revenue growth

In 2021 we saw 156% growth in revenue, expanded into Germany and grew our funding by €1.2 million. Our team jumped from 10 employees at the start of 2021 to 30 by the end of the year. A bigger team needs a bigger office, so we boxed up our potted plants and rolled our desk chairs over to the Houthavens in Amsterdam.
