Copywriting is not a licensed trade. Anyone can call themselves a ‘freelance copywriter’. Yet, we believe that writing is a true craft. The same goes for designing and content-marketing consulting. Other freelance platforms allow anyone to sign up. Contentoo is only open to true professionals.
Onno has over 13 years of experience in marketing and sales. He has worked in the past for major companies including Vodafone, T-Mobile and Ben. There, he oversaw CRM, e-commerce, online marketing, distribution, marketing communication, sales and P&L management and M&A. Throughout his career, Onno has seen himself as a builder. This is what led him to Contentoo, where he will continue to grow the company as CEO, just as he did in his CEO positions at T-Mobile, Thuis and Ben.
Jeroen Gunter is a former journalist, who has worked for Quote magazine and Dagblad de Pers. He has over a decade of experience in content marketing and PR consultancy. As a partner at PR firm Mediatic, he has worked for a broad range of major corporations in the fields of finance, IT and legal services, including law firms, private equity companies and financial service providers.
Over and over, Jeroen found his clients facing the same two challenges: it’s too hard to find good freelance content producers, and creating content is a time consuming process. That’s why he came up with Contentoo.
Ron van Valkengoed
Ron van Valkengoed has a passion for everything that has to do with cloud computing. He was Managing Director of Ezwim (a leader in the cloud-based telecom industry) and is a Senior Marketing Fellow at Casengo, which provides customer service tools via the cloud. He has also founded many other successful companies such as De Advocatenwijzer, Yeloworld and Sustainmobile. His professional experience is enough to fill a hundred resumes. Fortunately, Ron invests a lot of time in sharing his knowledge and expertise with companies and thinkers of the future, whether he is a mentor at start-up accelerator Rockstart or acting as a strategic advisor to many other companies.

Lindsay Ruis is senior Customer Success Manager. Lindsay Ruis is our senior Customer Success Manager. She started her career as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte. After three years, she dove into the world of start-ups and innovation at B. Building Business, the biggest business growth ecosystem in Europe. There she was in charge of operations and sales. She set up a new location with over 50 start-ups and corporate innovation studios in just nine months. After living a year and a half in Brazil, she moved back to the Netherlands to work as a manager for social media agency Dorst & Lesser where she entered the world of content marketing. In her current role at Contentoo, Lindsay draws on all her past experience. She makes sure that the content needs of our clients are met, and she oversees various projects related to our own scale-up activities. When she’s not at work, Lindsay enjoys travelling and going to musicals. She also loves to sing and to spend time with her family, friends and pets.
Tim van Geverink
Head of sales
Over the past six years, Tim has fallen in love with his work at multiple tech companies. He got his start working in sales and later went on to work at various start-ups and scale-ups. It’s no surprise, considering he was employee no. 1 at Temper. He learned the ins and outs of the industry, working in a squatter-prevention office space, before overseeing the expansion of his acquisition team to include 13 new members. By the end of Tim’s four years there, Temper had grown into a company with 140 full-time employees. In his free time, you’ll find Tim on the pitch, at the pub, or in the stands at Johan Cruyff Arena, never straying too far from Amsterdam, the city he loves. Fauve Smeets is one of our Customer Success Managers. After completing her degree in Hotel Management, she worked for over four years in Sales & Marketing for Marriott Hotels in Amsterdam, where she specialised in business travel and events. During her time with Marriott, she saw first-hand how content marketing adds value to customer relationships. Now, she applies her experience in this field every day to her work at Contentoo. With her background in hospitality, Fauve is always at your service.
Jakob is a Business Development Representative at Contentoo. That means he’s always on the lookout for companies who can gain added value from using our services. After earning his degree in Human Resource Management, he spent a year travelling in South and Central America. It was the adventure of a lifetime, but when it was over, he returned home and traded in the tropical beaches for a career in business. Jakob began working for an Amsterdam recruitment firm that specialises in the freelance finance market. From there, he joined Contentoo where he’s now using his skills to help our company grow even faster.
Bich is one of our Customer Success Managers. As a true food addict she started her career as a Marketing Communication Coordinator at eazie. Tasting new products for the menu while working on the national marketing communication strategy was her thing. After four years, it was time for a change, so she packed her bags and travelled the world for two years. If you are in need of any dining and travel tips to South East Asia or Australia, drop her a message! Australia triggered her interest in sales, and back in the Netherlands, she worked as a BDR for Teamleader. Zyldjian Neidig is Business Development Representative (BDR) at Contentoo. He became a master salesman selling luxury menswear at OGER and during his internship at TomTom. He has also worked as a poker dealer at the Master Classics of Poker, where he gained some insights into human behaviour, which are so important in the sales world. Never play a video game against Zyldjian unless you’re in the mood to get wiped out. That’s right: he was also a pro gamer and part of the #1 Halo team in the Netherlands. A man of many talents, he was born and raised in Amsterdam where he still feels right at home. He enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, and also knows how to enjoy a nice after-work drink on a Friday.
Chana Teerlinck is our Head of Talent. She makes sure that the best freelancers find their way to Contentoo and she shows them around our platform. After completing her studies in Madrid, Chana went straight to work in the start-up scene: from Madrid to London, before finally settling in Amsterdam. Here, she began working for fashion start-up BALR., where she helped with the brand’s international expansion. Chana loves a good challenge. That’s why, over the past few years, she’s put herself to the challenge of building the best (online) communities time and time again. And this is what brought her to Contentoo.
Jasper Volkers has always had a passion for start-ups and scale-ups, working alongside young, ambitious people, making a real impact and growing businesses. In 2016, Jasper was working for B. Building Business, the largest start-up ecosystem in Europe. That’s when he met Jeroen, who had just founded Contentoo a few months before. In 2017, Jasper joined as Contentoo’s first employee. His first project was to develop and continue optimising the Contentoo platform, which we are still using today. Now, Jasper focuses primarily on working with our clients as Senior Customer Success Manager, while also developing new propositions. He’s also always up for a drink, a nice dinner or a match of tennis.
Kai is a Business Development Representative at Contentoo. He started his sales career at Temper, where he did his first internship and learned the tricks of the trade from his colleague Tim (our Head of Sales). He is currently focused on acquiring new clients for Contentoo and exploring new opportunities in the market.
Kai also has more than ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, including in Switzerland, Thailand and France. He has an eye for detail and is eager to exceed expectations. Kai is always up for a game of padel and he likes to cook for large groups (preferably from the BBQ). To get the necessary rest, this born Rotterdammer regularly flees our bustling capital to enjoy nature.
